Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She is employed by ESPN as the SportsCenter News Anchor. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. Her mother is TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. When she was just nine, Collins's ability to converse in two languages helped her get the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. As an assistant producer she was given the chance to collaborate with national program producers such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After 2009, the reporter moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. In addition to reporting on issues related to trafficking in drugs and immigration on both sides of Mexico-Texas border, she served as an anchor for five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for news at 9 p.m. newscast, which was in English as well as another reporter for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she would fill in occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her larger responsibilities. She wrote pieces to The NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. Additionally, she was host of her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. Then, she became the sports host for the morning program of Despierta America Deportes. The anchor also worked in the same capacity as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail native to Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. The couple divorced shortly after and in 1995 her mother was remarried to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, younger Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. As a senior at high school, but with a clear idea what she would like to accomplish with her life Antonietta went to at the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. She discovered that she liked the campus and that the school provided the degree she was looking for. Her studies were completed and she was admitted to the university with a degree in media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a part. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in her own abilities instilled confidence in her. She in turn was determined to achieve his standards and not let him down.
